Welcome to AFTI

Founded in 1997, the American Foundation for Translation and Interpretation (AFTI) supports charitable activities, education, and research in support of the translation and interpreting professions.
.AFTI promotes this objective by bestowing awards and scholarships, sponsoring conference attendance and presentations, making research grants, and establishing and maintaining an archive of documents and artifacts relating to the practice of translation and interpreting.
